Raise a toast… or perhaps a marshmallow

As the Bell Tents reside in their own secluded field it is the perfect location for that special birthday or friendly get together. We have plenty of groups that come for some quiet beers and banter around the campfires.

Should your occasion be a special one, please do ring ahead of your arrival as we are more than happy to organise a cake or some aptly themed bunting to surprise your guest of honour. We at Canal Camping are more than happy to work alongside you to ensure your stay is as stupendous and exciting as it can be.

The wonder that is the Norfolk night sky

We purposefully did not install any electricity onsite as our mantra is the ‘best of the great outdoors’, you will find only solar lights inside to create a magical warm glow, allowing you to tie back the huge doors of an evening and watch the twinkly stars from the cosy comfort of your framed double bed. The Norfolk night sky is one not to be underestimated! You will see an outstanding night sky display full of planets, shooting stars and a moon so bright you will forget for a moment why you even worried about electricity.

Sail away with me honey!

We are lucky enough to have a private canal running through our campsite. Therefore, feel free to bring your own rowing boats, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards to launch.

Getting out onto the water is the perfect way to experience the wildlife and environment of the canal and the Broads. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife once out on the water as you may just spot our resident otter. There are also plenty of barn owls, kingfisher, swallowtail butterflies and our two nesting swans.

Our Duffles Rond Island Bell tent is a nod to our neighbours in Scandinavia! Tom and Jo’s favourite, after their Stockholm trip, they absolutely love the food, vibe and architecture. You will find grey and white pastel colours in here, with a sprinkling of pink throughout. A calming theme with a minimalist design feel.

Our Bohemian Bell Tent, Heigham Holmes Island, is our Indian serine space, with its very own chess board so you can check mate your fellow glampers under the stars or comfort of canvas.
