Campsite Rules

The campsite

Canal Camping are safety conscious and so would appreciate you adhering to a few safety precautions while staying onsite…

Safety first!

  • Please ensure dogs are kept on leads while onsite at all times, and that you clear up after them (there are many deer in the surrounding fields, and unless you are as fast as a deer, you won’t catch your dog!)
  • Rubbish bins for recycling, glass and general waste are located by the front gate. Please ensure you do not put any hot ash in these bins. We do not want your broken chairs or tent poles either, thank you. Please take them home with you.
  • No open fires. Fires can only be made in the firepits provided and wood used that is purchased onsite
  • Always carry a torch in the dark due to limited lighting, with tents, guy ropes and bikes being a few of the many obstacles onsite.
  • Please leave ample room between tents and respect your fellow campers’ space! There is plenty of room. We know that you like to pitch around the outer edge of the field but should there be no room, please move further into the middle of the field.
  • No gas stoves, firepits, smoking or candles, incense sticks to be lit or used inside the tent. Please do not smoke in the toilet or shower blocks. Do not put cigarette butts in the toilet bins please.
  • Please ensure your car is parked adjacent to your tent as neatly as possible. Therefore, keeping the access track clear
  • No music
  • No noise after 10pm
  • Children to be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is only one entrance that campers can gain access to the canal. Please ensure children do not go there unaccompanied by an adult
  • All your rubbish (including dogs’ mess) to be cleared away during your stay and popped into the waste bins provided at the site entrance

Thank you!
